Monetization requires YouTube Partner Program (YPP) approval: at minimum 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 watch-hours in the last year (or 10 M Shorts views). Approval unlocks video ads, channel memberships, Super Chat, and a share of YouTube Premium revenue.
